Elena Kalodner-Martin, Ph.D.
Technical Communication Teacher, Writer, and Researcher

Elena, a white woman with dark curly hair, smiles at the camera. She is wearing a black jacket and a purple and green scarf. There is a brick wall behind her and a floral patterned couch.

My teaching and research is broadly focused on understanding and interrogating the values, norms, and discourses in technical and scientific communities. I was recently awarded the Kairos Contingent Faculty and Graduate Student Scholarship Award, the Emerging Scholar Award, and the ATTW Graduate Research Award.

As of Fall 2023, I am a lecturer in Writing, Rhetoric, and Professional Communication at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Â
